Perhaps surprising to many, there has accumulated a good deal of evidence in scientific journals that behavior and physiology can be influenced by seemingly unknowable future events (for recent examples, see Bem, 2009; Mossbridge et al., 2012). Although this work is not without controversy (see Wagenmakers et al., 2011), we believe given the experimental evidence combined with advances in theoretical physics, further research is needed (see recent opinion in Frontiers in Psychology). Clearly any new technology that uses behavior and/or physiology to consistently predict random future events above chance would be a “game-changer”!

The following is a general overview of the approach used by TANC Lab to further this research. cartoon1
